Abstract
The present invention relates to films comprising a xyloglucan comprising not more than 11 mol % galactose residues, as well as a method for making such films, and its use as an oxygen barrier.
Claims15
A film comprising at least 95 wt % of a xyloglucan, based on the dry weight of the film, wherein the xyloglucan comprises 9-11 mol % of galactose residues, and wherein the film has an oxygen permeability at 80% RH and 23° C. that is not more than 7 cm3μm1m−2day−1kPa−1.
