Abstract
A method of performing a downlink machine type communication from a base station to a MTC (machine type communication) terminal includes, at the base station, transmitting at least one of a system information—the system information excluding a Master Information Block (MIB)—, a control information and data to the MTC terminal using a system bandwidth having a predetermined size. The base station performs frequency hopping using a frequency hopping pattern in a unit of narrow band on the at least one of the system information—the system information excluding a Master Information Block (MIB)—, the control information and the data to transmit to the MTC terminal, and the narrow band is less than the system bandwidth.
Claims18
A terminal for receiving a downlink communication from a base station to the terminal, the terminal comprising:
- a transceiver that transmits and receives a radio signal;
- and
- a processor, operatively coupled with the transceiver and configured to, for executing instructions of a program stored on a computer-readable medium, the instructions causing the processor to:
- receive, via the transceiver, system information, control information and/or and data from the base station using a system bandwidth;
- wherein the system information includes at least one of Master Information Block (MIB) and System Information Block (SIB),
- wherein each of the system information, the control information and/or and the data is received from the base station repetitively,
- wherein the repetitive reception of the Master Information Block (MIB) relates to a reception of comprises receiving the same signal of the MIB repetitively and/or a reception of and receiving the same data of the MIB with different types of signal repetitively, and
- wherein the different types of signal is a signal are signals encoded differently.
A device for receiving a downlink communication from a base station to the device, the device comprising:
- a transceiver that transmits and receives a radio signal;
- and
- a processor, operatively coupled with the transceiver and configured to, for executing instructions of a program stored on a computer-readable medium, the instructions causing the processor to:
- receive, via the transceiver, system information, control information and/or and data from the base station using a system bandwidth;
A base station for transmitting a downlink communication to a terminal, the base station comprising:
- a transceiver that transmits and receives a radio signal;
- and
- a processor, operatively coupled with the transceiver and configured to, for executing instructions of a program stored on a computer-readable medium, the instructions causing the processor to:
- transmit, via the transceiver, system information, control information and/or and data to the terminal using a system bandwidth;
- wherein the system information includes at least one of Master Information Block (MIB) and System Information Block (SIB),
- wherein each of the system information, the control information and/or and the data is transmitted to the terminal repetitively,
- wherein a frame includes a plurality of subframes, and each frame is distinguished by a System Frame Number (SFN),
- wherein the repetitive transmission of the Master Information Block (MIB) relates to a transmission of comprises transmitting the same signal of the MIB repetitively and/or a transmission of and transmitting the same data of the MIB with different types of signal repetitively, and
- wherein the different types of signal is a signal are signals encoded differently.
A method of performing a downlink communication from a base station to a terminal, the method comprising:
- transmitting, by the base station, system information, control information and/or and data to the terminal using a system bandwidth,
- wherein the system information includes at least one of Master Information Block (MIB) and a System Information Block (SIB),
- wherein each of the system information, the control information and/or and the data is transmitted by the base station repetitively,
- wherein a frame includes a plurality of subframes, and each frame is distinguished by a System Frame Number (SFN),
- wherein the repetitive transmission of the Master Information Block (MIB) relates to a transmission of comprises transmitting the same signal of the repetitively and/or a transmission of and transmitting the same data of the MIB with different types of signal repetitively, and
- wherein the transmission of same signal repetitively and/or the transmission of same data with different types of signal repetitively includes:
