Abstract
In various embodiments, a tile system for mounting structures to a roof may comprise a base assembly, a fastener, a seal, a flashing, and a mounting bracket. The fastener may be installable on the base assembly. The seal may be installable on the fastener. The flashing may be configured to replace a roof tile. Moreover, a protrusion may be field formed in the flashing during installation of the tile system by driving the fastener through the flashing in response to the base assembly being positioned on the roof surface. The bracket may be installable on the fastener and configured to compress the flashing against the seal and the base assembly.
Claims10
A tile system for mounting structures to a roof, comprising:
- a bracket assembly a fastener installable on the bracket assembly;comprising a first hole in a support surface of the bracket assembly;
- a tapered seal installable installed on the fastener bracet assembly;
- a flashing installed on the bracket assembly and configured to replace a roof tile wherein a protrusion is field formed, the flashing defining a recessed mounting feature, the flashing defining a protrusion in the recessed mounting feature of the flashing during in response installation of the tile system by driving the fastener through the flashing in response to the bracket assembly being positioned on a roof surfaceof the flashing on the bracket assembly, the protrusion aligned with the first hole;
- a fastener installed on the bracket assembly;
- and
- a mounting bracket installable installed on the fastener and configured to compress the flashing against the seal and the bracket assembly in response to being installed on the fastener.
A tile system for mounting structurs to a roof, comprising:
- a bracket assembly comprising a first hole in a support of the bracket assembly;
- a tapered seal installed on the bracket assembly;
- a flashing installed on the support surface of the bracket assembly, the flashing defining a protrusion in response to installing the flashing on the bracket assembly, and the protrusion aligned with the first hole, the protrusion conformed to a shape of the seal and a mounting bracket;
- a fastener installed on the bracket assembly;
- and
- the mounting bracket installed on the fastener and configured to compress the flashing against the seal and the bracket assembly in response to being installed on the fastener.
