Abstract
The present invention relates to a liquefied gas carrier having a width of less than 32.3 m to pass through the old Panama Canal, which includes a liquefied gas tank having a liquefied gas storage capacity of 70K or more, preferably 78.7K.
Claims7
A higher storage capacity (HSC) liquefied gas carrier having a width of less than 32.3 m to pass through the old Panama Canal,
- having a liquefied gas storage capacity of less than 70K cubic meters and including a plurality of liquified liquefied gas tanks;
- a body including a lower part having a bottom and a lower end of each of the liquefied gas tanks, an upper part having an upper deck and an upper end of each of the liquefied gas tanks, and a central part provided between the upper part and the lower part and having vertical left and right sides;
- a manifold installed at the upper deck for loading or unloading liquefied gas and comprising a connection end;
- and
- a drip tray provided downward from a the connection end of the manifold on the upper deck,
- wherein a total height of the body is greater than a total height of a body of a conventional liquefied gas carrier by an increased height amount,
- wherein the conventional liquefied gas carrier has a maximum body width of 32.3 m or less,
- increased by vertically extending wherein the increased height in the total height of the body of the HSC liquefied gas carrier is equal to a vertical extension of the central part to upwardly move the manifold and the upper part so that a liquefied gas storage capacity of less than 70K cubic meters,
- wherein an outside slope part of the upper deck where the drip tray is placed is inclined more downwardly than an inside thereof an inner slope part of the upper deck where the connection end of the manifold is placed, and
- wherein a height of the central part is greater than a sum of a height of the upper part and a height of the lower part.
