Method for synthesizing optically active carbonyl compounds

A composition comprising a chiral bidentate bisphosphine ligand and at least one compound of the general formula (I):

• R1 and R2:
• are identical or different and are C6- to C10-aryl which is unsubstituted or carries one or more substituents which are selected from C1- to C6-alkyl, C3- to C6-cycloalkyl, C6- to C10-aryl, C1- to C6-alkoxy and amino;
• Z is a group CHR3R4 or aryl which is unsubstituted or carries one or more substituents which are selected from C1- to C6-alkyl, C3- to C6-cycloalkyl, C6- to C10-aryl, C1- to C6-alkoxy and amino, in which
• R3 is C1- to C4-alkyl, C1- to C4-alkoxy-C1- to C4-alkyl, C3- to C6-cycloalkyl or C6- to C10-aryl, where one or two nonadjacent CH2 groups in C3- to C6-cycloalkyl can also be replaced by an oxygen atom;
• R4 is C1- to C4-alkyl which is unsubstituted or carries a group P(═O)R4aR4b, C1- to C4-alkoxy, C1- to C4-alkoxy-C1- to C4-alkyl, C3- to C6-cycloalkyl or C6- to C10-aryl, where one or two nonadjacent CH2 groups in C3- to C6-cycloalkyl can also be replaced by an oxygen atom, and where C3- to C6-cycloalkyl and C6- to C10-aryl are unsubstituted or carry one or more substituents which are selected from C1- to C4-alkyl, C1- to C4-alkoxy and amino;
• or
• R3 and R4:
• together with the carbon atom to which they are bonded, are C4- to C8-cycloalkyl, in which one or two nonadjacent CH2 groups in C3- to C6 C4- to C8-cycloalkyl can also be replaced by an oxygen atom and where C3- to C6 C4- to C8-cycloalkyl is unsubstituted or carries one or more substituents which are selected from C1- to C4-alkyl, C1- to C4-alkoxy and A-P(═O)R4aR4b,
• where A is a chemical bond or a C1- to C4-alkylene;
• and
• R4a and R4b:
• are identical or different and are phenyl which is unsubstituted or carries one or more substituents which are selected from C1- to C6-alkyl, C3- to C6-cycloalkyl, C6- to C10-aryl, C1- to C6-alkoxy and amino.
