Abstract
An epoxy tape useful as an adhesive sealant comprised of a first band of an uncured epoxy resin composition and a second band comprised of a composition capable of curing the epoxy resin. Kneading together of substantially equal lengths of opposed portions of the first and second bands results in an epoxy composition which is self-curing.
Claims9
An epoxy tape comprising a first band of of an uncured epoxy resin composition and a second band, said bands being joined in close side-by-side relation throughout their entire length, said second band comprising a composition capable of curing of said epoxy resin in said tape when said first and second bands are combined to form a substantially uniform mixture whereby said tape may be mixed by kneading and may be cured at ambient temperature, at elevated tempertures, and under water and remains in a stable uncured state in absence of kneading .
A kneadable epoxy tape according to claim wherein said first and second bands are simultaneously extruded in side-by-side relationship.
