Abstract
A new and unique brown variety of the mushroom Agaricus bisporus Imbach was produced by crossing the progeny of brown mushrooms and off-white hybrid mushrooms to bridging cross strains. The resultant hybrid, named ‘RO12756’, exhibits distinct and stable characteristics. Hybrid ‘RO12756’ exhibits a light cap color, thicker cap flesh, rounder cap, faster mushroom development, and high yield, especially when compared to available brown mushroom varieties.
