Mushroom variety named ‘RO10425’

Abstract

A new and unique brown variety of the mushroom Agaricus bisporus Imbach was produced by crossing the progeny of brown mushrooms and off-white hybrid mushrooms to bridging cross strains. The resultant hybrid, named ‘RO10425’, exhibits distinct and stable characteristics. Hybrid ‘RO10425’ exhibits a lighter cap color, thicker cap flesh, and rounder cap, especially when compared to available brown mushroom varieties. ‘RO10425’ also exhibits fast mushroom development and high yield.
