Abstract
A game system may comprise a board comprising a plurality of pegs extending from the board, wherein the pegs may be disposed in rows; at least one deflector configured to be coupled to at least two pegs aligned with one another; at least one ball configured to move on the board between and/or along the pegs and deflector(s) from a start end to a goal end of the board; at least one goal configured to be coupled to at least two pegs in a goal row of the rows of pegs, wherein the goal is configured to receive a ball; and a plurality of play selectors which determine a play for each player during a turn of a game. The goal of the game may be to get a ball into a goal by navigating across the board having the pegs and deflectors as obstacles to movement of the ball.
Claims16
A game system, comprising:
- a board comprising a plurality of pegs positioned substantially perpendicular to a board plane of the board, wherein the plurality of pegs are disposed in a plurality of equidistant rows and cross rows spanning between outer edges of the board plane, wherein the plurality of pegs in the plurality of rows are aligned such that the plurality of pegs form cross rows spanning between a start end and a goal end of the board plane, with pathways between the cross rows, and wherein a minimum of one and a maximum of two of the plurality of rows are offset rows, wherein an offset row comprises a plurality of offset pegs each disposed within a respective pathway of the pathways between the cross rows;
- at least one removably mountable upright deflector wall piece coupled to at least two pegs of the plurality of pegs aligned with one another, wherein the at least one deflector comprises at least two deflector peg voids disposed through the at least one deflector, wherein each deflector peg void is disposed about a peg of the least two pegs, wherein the at least two deflector peg voids comprise a deflector peg void shape that is complementary to a cross-sectional shape of the at least two pegs;
- at least one ball contacting the board plane at a preselected yet undetermined position to allow movement of the at least one ball on the board plane, wherein the plurality of pegs are arranged such that the at least one ball may pass between them;
- at least one removably mountable upright goal wall piece coupled to at least two other pegs of the plurality of pegs and resting adjacent to the board plane, wherein the goal comprises at least two goal peg voids disposed through a height of a goal wall, wherein each goal peg void is disposed about a peg of the at least two other pegs, wherein the at least two goal peg voids comprise a goal peg void shape that is complementary to a cross-sectional shape of the at least two other pegs, and wherein the at least one goal is configured to receive and maintain within the at least one ball passing between the plurality of pegs and moving from the start end toward the goal end;
- a base coupled to the board and configured such that the start end of the board plane is elevated forming an angle between the board plane and a horizontal plane;
- and
- a plurality of play selectors which determine a play for each player of the game system during each turn of a game.
A game system, comprising:
- a board comprising a plurality of pegs positioned substantially perpendicular to a board plane of the board, wherein the plurality of pegs are disposed in a plurality of equidistant rows and cross rows spanning between outer edges of the board plane, wherein the plurality of pegs in the plurality of rows are aligned such that the plurality of pegs form cross rows spanning between a start end and a goal end of the board plane, with pathways between the cross rows, and wherein a minimum of one and a maximum of two of the plurality of rows are offset rows, wherein an offset row comprises a plurality of offset pegs each disposed within a respective pathway of the pathways between the cross rows;
- at least one removably mountable upright deflector wall piece coupled to at least two pegs of the plurality of pegs aligned with one another, wherein the at least one deflector comprises at least two deflector peg voids disposed through the at least one deflector, wherein each deflector peg void is disposed about a peg of the least two pegs, wherein the at least two deflector peg voids comprise a deflector peg void shape that is complementary to a cross-sectional shape of the at least two pegs;
- at least one ball contacting the board plane at a preselected yet undetermined position to allow movement of the at least one ball between the start end and the goal end of the board plane, wherein the plurality of pegs are disposed such that the at least one ball may pass between the plurality of pegs and the at least one deflector, wherein the game system is configured such that the player of the game system drops the at least one ball from the start end at a conclusion of a turn, and the ball moves toward the goal end;
- at least one removably mountable upright goal wall piece coupled to at least two other pegs and resting adjacent to the board plane in a goal row of the plurality of rows, the goal row being adjacent to the goal end, wherein the goal comprises at least two goal peg voids disposed through a height of a goal wall, wherein each goal peg void is disposed about a peg of the at least two other pegs, wherein the at least two goal peg voids comprise a goal peg void shape that is complementary to a cross-sectional shape of the at least two other pegs, wherein the at least one goal is configured to receive and maintain within the at least one ball passing between the plurality of pegs moving from the start end to the goal end, wherein the game system is configured such that at a beginning of a game, the goal is coupled to the at least two pegs in the goal row;
- a base coupled to the board and configured such that the start end of the board plane is elevated forming an angle between the board plane and a horizontal plane;
- and
- a plurality of play selectors which determine a play for each player of the game system during each turn of the game, wherein the game system is configured such that during each turn, each player makes a play dictated by a display on a play selector associated with the player.
