Resin, resist composition and method for producing resist pattern

A resist composition comprising

• (A1) a resin which consists of a structural unit represented by formula (a4):
• wherein R3 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group,
• R4 represents a C1 to C24 saturated hydrocarbon group having a fluorine atom, and a methylene group contained in the saturated hydrocarbon group may be replaced by an oxygen atom or a carbonyl group,
• a structural unit having a cyclic carbonate and
• a structural unit represented by formula (I):
• wherein R1 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group,
• L1 represents a single bond, a C1 to C5 alkanediyl group, or a group represented by the formula (L1-1), the formula (L1-2), the formula (L1-3) or the formula (L1-4),
• wherein XX1 represents an oxycarbonyl group or a carbonyloxy group,
• LX1 represents a C1 to C16 divalent saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon group,
• LX2 represents a single bond or a C1 to C15 divalent saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon group,
• provided that the total carbon number contained in the groups of LX1 and LX2 is 16 or less;
• LX3 represents a single bond or a C1 to C17 divalent saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon group,
• LX4 represents a single bond or a C1 to C16 divalent saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon group,
• provided that the total carbon number contained in the groups of LX3 and LX4 is 17 or less;
• LX5 represents a C1 to C15 divalent saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon group,
• LX6 and LX7 each independently represent a single bond or a C1 to C14 divalent saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon group,
• provided that the total carbon number contained in the groups of LX5, LX6 and LX7 is 15 or less;
• LX8 and LX9 each independently represent a single bond or a C1 to C12 divalent saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon group,
• WX1 represents a C3 to C15 divalent saturated alicyclic hydrocarbon group,
• provided that the total carbon number contained in the groups of LX8, LX9 and WX1 is 15 or less;
• R2 represents a C3 to C18 alicyclic hydrocarbon group where a hydrogen atom may be replaced by a C1 to C8 aliphatic hydrocarbon group or a hydroxy group, provided that the carbon atom directly bonded to L1 has no aliphatic hydrocarbon group by which a hydrogen atom has been replaced, and
• the resin having no acid-labile group;
• (A2) a resin which has an acid-labile group;
• and
• an acid generator.
