Display panel and display apparatus

A display panel comprising:

• a plurality of sub-pixel areas;
• a first substrate and a second substrate oppositely arranged to form a cell;
• and
• a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate, wherein
• the second substrate includes a first sub-pixel electrode and a second sub-pixel electrode disposed in an area corresponding to one of the plurality of sub-pixel areas,
• a protruded object is disposed at a gap between the first sub-pixel electrode and the second sub-pixel electrode, which are adjacent to each other and are respectively included in different sub-pixel areas, a projection of the protruded object overlaps an area of the liquid crystal layer corresponding to the gap, and a width of the protruded object is larger than that of the gap,
• the second substrate includes a plurality of gate lines and a plurality of data lines which are crossed and perpendicular to each other,
• the first sub-pixel electrode and the second sub-pixel electrode included in each of the plurality of sub-pixel areas are alternately disposed along an extension direction of each of the plurality of data lines,
• each of the plurality of gate lines passes through a corresponding one sub-pixel area, and
• both the first sub-pixel electrode and second sub-pixel electrode included in the corresponding one sub-pixel area are connected to, and respectively disposed on both sides of, the corresponding gate line.
