Abstract
In some implementations, a computing device receives a start location and a destination location, determines routes between the start location and the destination location, identifies stop signs and stop lights along the determined routes, determines delays attributable to stop signs or stop lights along the determined routes, determines travel times for routes based on the delays attributable to stop signs or stop lights along the determined routes, and presents a suggested departure time determined based on the stop sign and stop light information.
Claims21
A method comprising:
- receiving, at a server device, traffic information from a plurality of mobile devices, the traffic information including stop duration information, movement duration information, and distance information;
- generating analyzed traffic information by comparing, by the server device, the stop duration information, movement duration information, and distance information to corresponding thresholds, the corresponding thresholds associated with a traffic pattern attributable to stop signs or stop lights;
- and
- determining by the server device, based on the analyzed traffic information, locations of stop signs or stop lights.
A system comprising:
- one or more processors;
- and
- a computer-readable medium including one or more sequences of instructions which, when executed by one or more processors, causes:
- receiving, at a server device, traffic information from a plurality of mobile devices, the traffic information including stop duration information, movement duration information, and distance information;
- generating analyzed traffic information by comparing, by the server device, the stop duration information, movement duration information, and distance information to corresponding thresholds, the corresponding thresholds associated with a traffic pattern attributable to stop signs or stop lights;
- and
- determining by the server device, based on the analyzed traffic information, locations of stop signs or stop lights.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium including one or more sequences of instructions which, when executed by one or more processors, causes:
- receiving, at a server device, traffic information from a plurality of mobile devices, the traffic information including stop duration information, movement duration information, and distance information;
- generating analyzed traffic information by comparing, by the server device, the stop duration information, movement duration information, and distance information to corresponding thresholds, the corresponding thresholds associated with a traffic pattern attributable to stop signs or stop lights;
- and
- determining by the server device, based on the analyzed traffic information, locations of stop signs or stop lights.
