Abstract
A combustion chamber injection nozzle (12) having a plurality of injection channels (37) for a main fuel gas, a pre-combustion chamber, and a plurality of torch channels (52) for hot combustion gas connected to the pre-combustion chamber (15), the injection channels (37) and the torch channels (52) communicating with peripheral openings arranged next to one another so as to alternate in a circumferential direction.
Claims15
A fuel gas feed and ignition apparatus for a gas engine, said apparatus comprising:
- an injector nozzle which includes a plurality of spaced peripheral openings, a first set of the plurality of peripheral openings alternating with a second set of the plurality of peripheral openings;
- a plurality of internal injection channels for main fuel gas which extend to respective openings of the first set of peripheral openings;
- and a plurality of internal torch channels for combustion gas which extend to respective openings of the second set of peripheral openings, and
- a housing which defines a pre-combustion chamber to which the plurality of torch channels are connected, and a feed line for ignition fuel extending to the pre-combustion chamber.
