Abstract
This invention pertains to pharmaceutical compositions comprising certain carbamic acid compounds (e.g., which inhibit HDAC (histone deacetylase) activity) (e.g., PXD-101, N hydroxyl-3-(3-phenylsulfamoyl-phenyl)-acrylamide)) and one or more additional ingredients selected from cyclodextrin, arginine, and meglumine. The present invention also pertains to the use of such compositions, for example, in the inhibition of HDAC, and in the treatment of conditions mediated by HDAC, cancer, proliferative conditions, psoriasis, etc.
Claims23
A pharmaceutical composition comprising:
- (a) a histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitor;
- (b) cyclodextrin;
- and
- (c) arginine,
- wherein said HDAC inhibitor is selected from compounds of the following formula and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof:
- wherein:
- A is a substituted or unsubstituted:
- C6-20carboaryl, or
- C5-20heteroaryl;
- Q1 is:
- a covalent bond, or
- a substituted or unsubstituted
- C1-7alkylene,
- C2-7alkenylene;
- J is:
- —NRN—S(═O)2—, or
- —S(═O)2—NRN—;
- RN is:
- —H, or
- a substituted or unsubstituted
- C1-7alkyl,
- C3-20heterocyclyl,
- C6-20carboaryl,
- C5-20heteroaryl,
- C6-20carboaryl-C1-7alkyl, or
- C5-20heteroaryl-C1-7alkyl;
- Q2 is a substituted or unsubstituted:
- C6-20carboarylene,
- C5-20heteroarylene,
- C6-20carboarylene-C1-7alkylene,
- C5-20heteroarylene-C1-7alkylene,
- C6-20carboarylene-C2-7alkenylene,
- C5-20heteroarylene-C2-7alkenylene,
- C1-7alkylene-C6-20carboarylene,
- C1-7alkylene-C5-20heteroarylene,
- C2-7alkenylene-C6-20carboarylene,
- C2-7alkenylene-C5-20heteroarylene,
- C1-7alkylene-C6-20carboarylene-C1-7alkylene,
- C1-7alkylene-C5-20heteroarylene-C1-7alkylene,
- C2-7alkenylene-C6-20carboarylene-C1-7alkylene,
- C2-7alkenylene-C5-20heteroarylene-C1-7alkylene,
