Abstract
Prosthesis devices can include sockets having adjustable features. In one example, a socket includes one or more panels that can move outwardly or inwardly relative to a receptacle portion of the socket. The panels can be moved by tightening a tensioning line.
Claims12

- advancing liquid resin about at least a portion of a guide;
- permitting the liquid resin to set so as to form at least a portion of a wall structure of a prosthetic socket;
- cutting through the wall structure of the prosthetic socket so as to separate a panel from a receptacle portion of the socket;
- coupling a tensioning line to both the separated panel and the receptacle portion of the socket;
- attaching a tightening mechanism to the socket;
- and
- connecting the tensioning line to the tightening mechanism, wherein the tightening mechanism is configured to adjust tension in the tensioning line so as to move the panel relative to the receptacle portion of the socket,
- wherein the guide is integral to the wall structure,
