Abstract
A novel maize variety designated X08K202 and seed, plants and plant parts thereof are produced by crossing inbred maize varieties. Methods for producing a maize plant by crossing hybrid maize variety X08K202 with another maize plant are disclosed. Methods for producing a maize plant containing in its genetic material one or more traits introgressed into X08K202 through backcross conversion and/or transformation, and to the maize seed, plant and plant part produced thereby. This invention relates to the maize variety X08K202, the seed, the plant produced from the seed, and variants, mutants, and minor modifications of maize variety X08K202. This invention further relates to methods for producing maize varieties derived from maize variety X08K202.
Claims20
A seed of hybrid maize variety X08K202, representative seed produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH1V69 with a second plant of variety PH2SVG, wherein representative seed of the varieties PH1V69 and PH2SVG have been deposited under ATCC Accession Numbers PTA-122439 and PTA-124439, respectively.
A seed of hybrid maize variety X08K202 further comprising a transgene, representative seed produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH1V69 with a second plant of variety PH2SVG, wherein representative seed of the varieties PH1V69 and PH2SVG have been deposited under ATCC Accession Numbers PTA-122439 and PTA-124439, respectively, and wherein the transgene has been introduced into at least one of variety PH1V69 and variety PH2SVG.
An F1 hybrid maize variety X08K202 seed further comprising a locus conversion, the seed being produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH1V69 with a second plant of variety PH2SVG;
- representative seed of the varieties PH1V69 and PH2SVG having been deposited under ATCC Accession Numbers PTA-122439 and PTA-124439, respectively;
- wherein at least one of the varieties PH1V69 and PH2SVG further comprises the locus conversion and wherein the seed produces a plant having otherwise all the physiological and morphological characteristics of maize variety X08K202 when grown under the same environmental conditions.
