Abstract
A novel maize variety designated X70K901 and seed, plants and plant parts thereof are produced by crossing inbred maize varieties. Methods for producing a maize plant by crossing hybrid maize variety X70K901 with another maize plant are disclosed. Methods for producing a maize plant containing in its genetic material one or more traits introgressed into X70K901 through backcross conversion and/or transformation, and to the maize seed, plant and plant part produced thereby. This invention relates to the maize variety X70K901, the seed, the plant produced from the seed, and variants, mutants, and minor modifications of maize variety X70K901. This invention further relates to methods for producing maize varieties derived from maize variety X70K901.
Claims20
A seed of hybrid maize variety X70K901, representative seed produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH18GY with a second plant of variety PHPKH, wherein representative seed of the varieties PH18GY and PHPKH have been deposited under ATCC Accession Numbers PTA-13605 and PTA-124002, respectively.
A seed of hybrid maize variety X70K901 further comprising a transgene, representative seed produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH18GY with a second plant of variety PHPKH, wherein representative seed of the varieties PH18GY and PHPKH have been deposited under ATCC Accession Numbers PTA-13605 and PTA-124002, respectively, and wherein the transgene has been introduced into at least one of variety PH18GY and variety PHPKH.
An F1 hybrid maize variety X70K901 seed further comprising a locus conversion, the seed being produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH18GY with a second plant of variety PHPKH;
- representative seed of the varieties PH18GY and PHPKH having been deposited under ATCC Accession Numbers PTA-13605 and PTA-124002, respectively;
- wherein at least one of the varieties PH18GY and PHPKH further comprises a locus conversion and wherein the seed produces a plant having otherwise all the physiological and morphological characteristics of maize variety X70K901 when grown under the same environmental conditions.
