Abstract
The present disclosure is directed to a paper towel product that will capably separate from the paper towel roll as a full sheet, a half sheet or a quarter sheet. A method of making a paper towel with machine direction perforations is also disclosed.
Claims8
A partitionable paper product of at least one paper web, comprising:
- a basis weight of at least about 20 g/sq. meter;
- least one perforation line in the CD direction having a perforation strength and wherein the perforation strength is between about 450 grams/3 inches and about 950 grams/3 inches;
- at least one perforation line in the MD direction having a perforation strength and wherein the perforation strength of the perpendicular perforation line is between about 300 grams/3 inches and about 1700 grams/3 inches;
- wherein the perforation strength in the MD direction is greater than the perforation strength in the CD direction;
- and
- wherein the ratio of the tensile strength of the MD perforation line to the CD tensile strength of the paper is from about 30% to about 70%.
