Security system coupled to a door lock system

A security system coupled to a door lock system, comprising:

• an existing door lock system at a dwelling, including:
• an existing door lock system with a lock device with a lock, and a drive shaft;
• and
• an intelligent door lock system retrofitted to the existing door lock system to create a retrofitted intelligent door lock system to lock and unlock for the door, the intelligent door lock system including:
• a door status device configured to couple to the drive shaft of the lock device, the door status device determining lock or unlock status of the lock device;
• an engine that provides power to lock and unlock the lock and coupled to the door status device, the engine coupled to at least one wireless communication device at the dwelling configured to communicate with a mobile device of a dwelling occupant for communication with the intelligent door lock system to lock or unlock the door;
• a circuit coupled to the engine, an energy source coupled to the circuit and providing power to lock or unlock the door;
• at least one motion detection device to detect a person at or near a door or window at the dwelling, the motion detection device coupled to the intelligent door lock system for purposes of detecting the person and assisting providing information that is used for locking and unlocking the door;
• and
• a security system that includes a video apparatus that captures video and coupled to the motion detection device to take a video of an image of the person or an outline of the person, wherein the video is configured to begin before motion detection begins, the security system coupled to the intelligent door lock system for purposes of providing security to the intelligent door lock system that is used for locking and unlocking the door.
