A non-transitory, tangible, computer readable medium having thereupon instructions that, when executed by at least one processor for at least one video-server for synchronized output to a plurality of displays, the at least one processor is configured to perform:
- rendering, by at least one application, video data frames containing video-image pixel data at a designated resolution to a source frame buffer residing in a computer readable memory;
- accessing a stored mapping of a placement of the plurality of displays and deriving a corresponding plurality of sub-image portions of the source frame buffer according to the stored mapping of the placement of the plurality of displays;
- calculating at least one memory map enabling video-image pixel data to be read from at least one of the corresponding plurality of sub-image portions of the source frame buffer, the at least one memory map being re-calculated in response to changes in the designated resolution or in the stored mapping of the placement of the plurality of displays;
- copying pixel data from individual video data frames from the source frame buffer to at least one sub-image frame buffer, by means of the at least one memory map;
- and
- processing the at least one sub-image frame buffer for output to at least one of the plurality of displays via the corresponding coupled secondary graphics adapter being in communication with the at least one video-server.
