Abstract
A toner container installed in an image forming apparatus includes a toner container main body having a predetermined length and in which toner is accommodated, a discharge port through which the toner is discharged from the toner container main body, a shutter which opens and closes the discharge port, a handle provided on the toner container main body, and a pressed portion provided on the toner container main body and which is pressed by the image forming apparatus to project the handle out from the image forming apparatus.
Claims12
A toner container, comprising:
- an elongated toner container main body to accommodate toner;
- a discharge port formed on one side of the toner container main body in a width direction perpendicular to an elongated direction of the toner container main body to discharge the toner from the toner container main body;
- a screw extending along the elongated direction to convey the toner to the discharge port;
- a mixer extending along the elongated direction to stir the toner;
- a rib formed around the toner container main body to be located above a rotational axis of the mixer;
- a shutter movably provided at the discharge port;
- a plate-like positioning member extending in the width direction below the rib and provided on the other side of the toner container main body in the width direction;
- and
- a handle provided on a surface of the toner container main body along the width direction.
An image forming apparatus, comprising:
- a toner container;
- an apparatus main body;
- and
- a pressing member to press the toner container in a direction of pulling out the toner container from the apparatus main body;
- wherein the toner container having:
- an elongated toner container main body to accommodate toner;
- a discharge port formed on one side of the toner container main body in a width direction perpendicular to an elongated direction of the toner container main body to discharge the toner from the toner container main body;
- a screw extending along the elongated direction to convey the toner to the discharge port;
- a mixer extending along the elongated direction to stir the toner;
- a rib formed around the toner container main body to be located above a rotational axis of the mixer;
- a shutter movably provided at the discharge port;
- a positioning member extending in the width direction below the rib and provided on the other side of the toner container main body in the width direction and pressed by the pressing member;
- and
- a handle provided on a surface of the toner container main body along the width direction.
