Abstract
Compositions and methods for preventing, treating and detecting leishmaniasis are disclosed. The compositions generally comprise polypeptides comprising Leishmania antigens as well as polynucleotides encoding such polypeptides.
Claims23
A fusion polypeptide comprising a Leishmania non-specific nucleoside hydrolase (NH) polypeptide, a Leishmania sterol 24-c-methyltransferase (SMT) polypeptide, and a portion of a Leishmania cysteine polypeptidease B (CpB) polypeptide, wherein the NH polypeptide comprises the amino acid sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:35, or a sequence having at least a 90% sequence identity to the amino acid sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:35, wherein the SMT polypeptide comprises the amino acid sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:36 or a sequence having at least a 90% sequence identity to the amino acid sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:36, and wherein the portion of the CpB polypeptide comprises the amino acid sequence set forth in SEQ ID No:31 or a sequence having at least a 90% sequence identity to the amino acid sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:31.
