Claims12
A method of reducing the toxicity of a trichothecene mycotoxin in a foodstuff, comprising the step of contacting the foodstuff with a composition comprising an enzyme, a trichothecene mycotoxin-binding agent and a Saccharomyces yeast capable of taking up the trichothecene mycotoxin, wherein the enzyme is a combination of enzymes, and wherein the combination of enzymes comprises a cellulase, a hemicellulase, and a lipase.
A method of reducing the toxicity of a trichothecene mycotoxin in a foodstuff, comprising the step of contacting the foodstuff with a composition comprising an enzyme, a trichothecene mycotoxin-binding agent and a Saccharomyces yeast capable of taking up the trichothecene mycotoxin, and wherein the foodstuff is of animal origin.
A method of reducing the toxicity of a trichothecene mycotoxin in a foodstuff comprising the step of contacting the foodstuff with a composition comprising an enzyme, a trichothecene mycotoxin-binding agent and a Saccharomyces yeast capable of taking up the trichothecene mycotoxin, and wherein the foodstuff comprises distiller's grain.
