## Abstract

A method and apparatus for transmitting control information are discussed. The method can include generating uplink control information (UCI) and transmitting the UCI through an physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) in a subframe, wherein when the subframe is configured for transmission of a scheduling request (SR) and when transmission of a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARD)-acknowledgement (ACK) coincides with the subframe, transmission power of the PUCCH is determined based on a number of HARQ-ACK information bits and a SR bit. A value of the SR bit can be determined by whether or not the subframe is configured for a scheduling request.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A method for receiving control information, performed by a base station (BS), in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:
configuring a subframe for receiving uplink control information (UCI) from a user equipment (UE); and
receiving the UCI transmitted from the UE through a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) in the subframe,
wherein when the subframe is configured for receiving a scheduling request (SR) and when a reception of a hybrid automatic repeat request-acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) coincides with the subframe, transmission power of the PUCCH is determined based on a payload size of a sum of the HARQ-ACK and the SR, and
wherein a payload size of the SR is one bit.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the UCI comprises HARQ-ACK information bits and an SR bit.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

The method of claim 2, wherein the SR bit is appended at the end of the HARQ-ACK information bits.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the payload size of the sum of the HARQ-ACK and the SR is determined based on a number of HARQ-ACK information bits and an SR bit.

### Claim 5

An apparatus for receiving control information, the apparatus comprising:
a radio frequency (RF) unit configured to transmit or receive a radio signal; and
a processor coupled to the RF unit,
wherein the processor is configured to:
configure a subframe for receiving uplink control information (UCI) from a user equipment (UE); and
receive the UCI transmitted from the UE through a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) in the subframe,
wherein when the subframe is configured for receiving a scheduling request (SR) and when a reception of a hybrid automatic repeat request-acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) coincides with the subframe, transmission power of the PUCCH is determined based on a payload size of a sum of the HARQ-ACK and the SR, and
wherein a payload size of the SR is one bit.

### Claim 6 (depends on 5)

The apparatus of claim 5, wherein the UCI comprises HARQ-ACK information bits and an SR bit.

### Claim 7 (depends on 6)

The apparatus of claim 6, wherein the SR bit is appended at the end of the HARQ-ACK information bits.

### Claim 8 (depends on 5)

The apparatus of claim 5, wherein the payload size of the sum of the HARQ-ACK and the SR is determined based on a number of HARQ-ACK information bits and an SR bit.

### Claim 9 (depends on 5)

The apparatus of claim 5, wherein the apparatus is a base station (BS).
