Abstract
A skid for supporting a reciprocating pump assembly, the reciprocating pump assembly including a power end frame assembly having a pair of end plates and a plurality of middle plates disposed between the end plates. The end plates each have at least a pair of feet and the middle plates each having at least one foot. The skid includes a base and a plurality of pads extending from the base. At least a portion of the plurality of pads correspond to the end plate feet and at least another portion of the plurality of pads correspond to the at least one foot of each middle plate.
Claims21
A skid for supporting a reciprocating pump assembly, the reciprocating pump assembly comprising a power end frame assembly having a pair of end plates and a plurality of middle plates disposed between the end plates, the end plates each having at least a pair of feet and the middle plates each having at least one foot, the skid comprising:
- a base;
- and
- a plurality of pads extending from the base, at least a portion of the plurality of pads corresponding to the end plate feet and at least another portion of the plurality of pads corresponding to the at least one foot of each middle plate.
A method of mounting a reciprocating pump assembly to a support skid, the reciprocating pump assembly including a pair of end segments and at least one middle segment disposed between the end segments, the method comprising:
- providing a base section;
- securing a plurality of pads on the base section, the plurality of pads corresponding to feet of the pair of end segments and at least one foot of the at least one middle segment of the reciprocating pump assembly;
- aligning the feet of the pump assembly with a corresponding pad on the base section;
- and
- securing the feet of the pump assembly to the base section.
