## Abstract

An integrated padded mesh material may be used in pillows or pillowcases for improved air flow around a user of the pillow or pillowcase during rest. When used in a pillow, the material may substantially cover the side of the pillow that a user's head rests upon. Other materials, such as mesh and satin materials, may be used to complete construction of the pillow. The pillow may take on familiar shapes, such as a dog. When the integrated padded mesh material is used in a pillowcase the pillowcase may be wrapped around a conventional pillow to increase air flow during rest. The pillowcase may include several layers such as the integrated padded mesh material and an allergy-blocking fabric.

## Claims

### Claim 1

An apparatus for use with a pillow, comprising:
a case for enclosing the pillow, in which the case is a shell comprising a top body fabric and a bottom body fabric; and
wherein the top body fabric and bottom body fabric comprise breathable integrated padded mesh material;
wherein the at least one of the top body fabric and bottom body fabric comprise three layers comprising
a first layer comprising a lightweight liner fabric;
a second layer comprising a breathable material; and
a third layer comprising an allergy-blocking fabric.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The apparatus of claim 1, in which the second layer has a thickness of at least approximately two millimeters.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The apparatus of claim 1, in which the breathable integrated padded mesh material has a suffocation resistance level of less than about 15 cm H2O as determined by RAM Consulting Virtual Child Suffocation Hazard Assessment Model.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The apparatus of claim 1, in which at least two of the layers are coupled together by sewing at the seams.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The apparatus of claim 1, in which the pillow is at least one of a support pillow, a wedge, a sleep positioner, and a headrest.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The apparatus of claim 1, in which the apparatus is a toddler pillowcase having a size of approximately 12 inches by approximately 18 inches.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

The apparatus of claim 1, in which the apparatus is a kids pillowcase having a size of approximately 20 inches by approximately 26 inches.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

The apparatus of claim 1, in which the apparatus is an adult pillowcase having a size of approximately 20 inches by approximately 30 inches.

The apparatus of claim 1, further comprising a printout on the case.

### Claim 10

A pillow, comprising:
a first material substantially covering a first side of the pillow; and
a second material substantially covering a second side of the pillow opposite the first side,
wherein at least one of the first material or second material include
a first layer comprising a lightweight liner fabric;
a second layer comprising a breathable material; and
a third layer comprising an allergy-blocking fabric.

The pillow of claim 10, in which the breathable material has a thickness of at least two millimeters.

### Claim 12 (depends on 10)

The pillow of claim 10, in which the pillow comprises attachments having mesh material and satin material.

### Claim 13 (depends on 12)

The pillow of claim 12, in which the mesh material substantially covers one side of the attachment and the satin material substantially covers a second side of the attachment.

### Claim 14 (depends on 13)

The pillow of claim 13, in which at least one of the first material and the second material comprises a mesh fabric.

### Claim 15 (depends on 13)

The pillow of claim 13, in which the pillow is in the shape of at least one of an animal, a video game character, a fantasy character, and an inanimate object.

The pillow of claim 10 further comprising a breathable integrated padded mesh material has a suffocation resistance level of less than about 15 cm H2O as determined by RAM Consulting Virtual Child Suffocation Hazard Assessment Model.
