Abstract
Provided is an image processing apparatus which includes a setting unit assigning a control block, which is a control unit of a filter process that is locally performed with respect to an image, to an initial position of the image determined based on a predetermined reference point; a movement unit moving the control block, which has been assigned to the initial position of the image by the setting unit, up to a position in which the result of the filter process is improved; and a filter processing unit performing the filter process for the respective control blocks which has been moved by the movement unit.
Claims21
An image decoding apparatus comprising:
- circuitry configured to
- decode encoded data including slice control data indicating whether or not a filtering process is to be performed on each slice of an image, and, only if the slice control data indicates that the filtering process is to be performed on a slice of the image, extract block control data for each block included in the slice of the image, the block control data indicating whether or not the filtering process is to be performed on each block;
- and
- perform the filtering process on the image generated by decoding the encoded data based on the slice control data and the block control data.
An image decoding method comprising:
- decoding encoded data including slice control data indicating whether or not a filtering process is to be performed on each slice of an image, and, only if the slice control data indicates that the filtering process is to be performed on a slice of the image, extracting block control data for each block included in the slice of the image, the block control data indicating whether or not the filtering process is to be performed on each block;
- and
- performing the filtering process on the image generated by decoding the encoded data based on the slice control data and the block control data.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing computer-readable instructions thereon, which, when executed by a computer, cause the computer to perform a method comprising:
- decoding encoded data including slice control data indicating whether or not a filtering process is to be performed on each slice of an image, and, only if the slice control data indicates that the filtering process is to be performed on a slice of the image, extracting block control data for each block included in the slice of the image, the block control data indicating whether or not the filtering process is to be performed on each block;
- and
- performing the filtering process on the image generated by decoding the encoded data based on the slice control data and the block control data.
