Abstract
Exemplary methods, apparatuses, and systems receive user input to move, resize, or add a first user interface object to a first location in a user interface window. The user interface window includes a second user interface object in a second location. In response to the user input, constraints are generated based upon the first location and the second location. The constraints define a size or a position of the first user interface object relative to the second user interface object. The first user interface object is displayed within the user interface according to the determined constraints.
Claims30
A computer-implemented method comprising:
- receiving, by a computer, user input to specify a first location in a user interface for a first user interface object, wherein the user interface includes a second user interface object at a second location in the user interface;
- generating, by the computer in response to the user input to specify the first location, a plurality of constraints based upon the first location and the second location, wherein the constraints define a size or a position of the first user interface object relative to the second user interface object using at least one equation;
- and displaying the first user interface object within the user interface according to the determined plurality of constraints.
A non-transitory machine-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed, cause a processing device to perform a method comprising:
- receiving, by the processing device, user input to specify a first location in a user interface for a first user interface object, wherein the user interface includes a second user interface object at a second location in the user interface;
- generating, by the processing device in response to the user input to specify the first location, a plurality of constraints based upon the first location and the second location, wherein the constraints define a size or a position of the first user interface object relative to the second user interface object using at least one equation;
- and displaying the first user interface object within the user interface according to the determined plurality of constraints.
An apparatus comprising:
- a processing device, wherein the processing device executes instructions, stored in a memory, that cause the processing device to:
- receive, by the processing device, user input to specify a first location in a user interface for a first user interface object, wherein the user interface includes a second user interface object at a second location in the user interface;
- generate, by the processing device in response to the user input to specify the first location, a plurality of constraints based upon the first location and the second location, wherein the constraints define a size or a position of the first user interface object relative to the second user interface object using at least one equation;
- and display the first user interface object within the user interface according to the determined plurality of constraints.
