Embodiments provide methods for using ascorbate for the stimulation of production of elastic fibers by cells.
Claims6
A composition comprising an effective amount of an ascorbate salt and an inhibitor of collagen deposition, wherein the ascorbate salt is selected from the group consisting of lithium ascorbate, sodium ascorbate, potassium ascorbate, magnesium ascorbate, calcium ascorbate, and combinations thereof, and
- wherein the inhibitor of collagen deposition is selected from the group consisting of a spironolactone, eplerenone, dimethyloxaloylglycine, and a combination thereof.
