Abstract
A novel maize variety designated X08H786 and seed, plants and plant parts thereof are produced by crossing inbred maize varieties. Methods for producing a maize plant by crossing hybrid maize variety X08H786 with another maize plant are disclosed. Methods for producing a maize plant containing in its genetic material one or more traits introgressed into X08H786 through backcross conversion and/or transformation, and to the maize seed, plant and plant part produced thereby. This invention relates to the maize variety X08H786, the seed, the plant produced from the seed, and variants, mutants, and minor modifications of maize variety X08H786. This invention further relates to methods for producing maize varieties derived from maize variety X08H786.
Claims20
A seed of hybrid maize variety X08H786, representative seed produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH25RT with a second plant of variety PH1V5T, wherein representative seed of the varieties PH25RT and PH1V5T have been deposited under ATCC Accession Numbers PTA-123568 and PTA-121499, respectively.
A seed of hybrid maize variety X08H786 further comprising at least a first transgene, representative seed produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH25RT with a second plant of variety PH1V5T, wherein representative seed of the varieties PH25RT and PH1V5T have been deposited under ATCC Accession Numbers PTA-123568 and PTA-121499, respectively.
An F1 hybrid maize variety X08H786 seed further comprising a locus conversion, the seed being produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH25RT with a second plant of variety PH1V5T;
- representative seed of the varieties PH25RT and PH1V5T having been deposited under ATCC Accession Numbers PTA-123568 and PTA-121499, respectively;
- wherein at least one of the varieties PH25RT and PH1V5T further comprises a locus conversion and wherein the seed produces a plant having otherwise essentially all the physiological and morphological characteristics of maize variety X08H786 when grown under the same environmental conditions.
