Method and module for acquiring position information of transform block

A method for encoding an image, comprising:

• determining, according to a splitting manner of an image block, a prediction block used by the image, wherein the splitting manner of the image block is an irregular splitting manner which is either a nL×2N splitting manner or a 2N×nL splitting manner, wherein the nL×2N splitting manner indicates a vertical splitting manner with which the image block is split into two adjacent sub-blocks along the horizontal direction, and wherein the 2N×nL splitting manner indicates a horizontal splitting manner with which the image block is split into two adjacent sub-blocks along the vertical direction;
• determining, according to the splitting manner of the image block and a splitting layer number of a transform block, splitting direction information corresponding to the prediction block;
• determining, according to the splitting direction information, identification information that identifies the corresponding splitting layer number of the transform block corresponding to the image block or the prediction block;
• and
• encoding, by a coder at least partially implemented in hardware, the identification information into a code stream.
