Transfer of files with arrays of strings in soap messages

A current node within a data-processing network, comprising:

• at least one processor, wherein the at least one processor is configured to perform and/or initiate:
• creating an outbound message having outbound strings including a first set of the outbound strings representing outbound characteristics of an outbound file and a second set of the outbound strings representing outbound content of the outbound file;
• sending the outbound message to a receiver node within the network;
• receiving an inbound message from a sender node within the network, the inbound message having inbound strings including a first set of the inbound strings representing inbound characteristics and a second set of the inbound strings representing inbound content;
• storing an inbound file having the inbound content;
• and
• applying the inbound characteristics to the inbound file, wherein
• the outbound message is an outbound XML-based, SOAP message,
• the inbound message is an inbound XML-based, SOAP message,
• the outbound SOAP message comprises the first and second sets of the outbound strings within a body element of the outbound SOAP message, and
• the inbound SOAP message comprises the first and second sets of the inbound strings within a body element of the inbound SOAP message.
