Abstract
An energy storage device comprising: (A) an anode comprising graphite; and (B) an electrolyte composition comprising: (i) at least one carbonate solvent; (ii) an additive selected from CsPF6, RbPF6, Sr(PF6)2, Ba(PF6)2, or a mixture thereof; and (iii) a lithium salt.

An energy storage device comprising:
- (A) an anode comprising graphite;
- and
- (B) an electrolyte composition comprising:
- (i) at least one carbonate solvent;
- (ii) an additive selected from CsPF6, RbPF6, Sr(PF6)2, Ba(PF6)2, or a mixture thereof;
- and
- (iii) a lithium salt,
- wherein the concentration of additive (ii) cation is less than, or equal to, 10 weight % of that of the Li cation of the Li salt.

- (A) an anode comprising graphite;
- and
- (B) an electrolyte composition comprising:
- (i) propylene carbonate and ethylene carbonate, wherein the propylene carbonate is present in an amount of 8 to 20 weight percent based on the total amount of all the components of the electrolyte composition;
- (ii) an additive selected from CsPF6, RbPF6, Sr(PF6)2, Ba(PF6)2, or a mixture or combination thereof;
- and
- (iii) a lithium salt.
