Colored composite pavement structure

A process for making a colored composite pavement structure, the process including the steps of:

• providing a colorant having a first color;
• providing a dilutant;
• providing a first component and a second component of a polymeric binder composition;
• combining the colorant with the dilutant to provide a colorant concentrate having about 10 to about 35 parts by weight colorant based on 100 parts by weight colorant concentrate;
• combining the colorant concentrate and the first and second components of the polymeric binder composition to provide a colored polymeric binder composition having about 0.1 to about 10 parts by weight colorant based on 100 parts by weight of colored polymeric binder composition;
• providing glass aggregate particles ranging from about 1/16 inch to about ½ inch in diameter;
• mixing the glass aggregate particles with the colored polymeric binder composition to form a mixture;
• applying the mixture to a compacted surface;
• and
• allowing the polymeric binder composition to react, bond and cure with the glass aggregate particles to provide the colored composite pavement structure.
