Abstract
The present invention relates to a method for performing a random access procedure in a wireless communication system supporting repeated transmission of a same signal, and an apparatus for same, and more specifically, to a method and an apparatus for same, the method comprising the steps of: repeatedly transmitting a physical random access channel (PRACH) signal by using a PRACH resource; and receiving a random access response signal from a specific time section, as a response to the PRACH signal, wherein the random access response signal includes information related to the number of repeated transmissions of the PRACH signal.
Claims12
A method for performing a random access procedure by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system supporting coverage enhancement, the method comprising:
- repeatedly transmitting a physical random access channel (PRACH) signal;
- and
- monitoring downlink control information masked by a random access radio network temporary identifier (RA-RNTI) corresponding to the PRACH signal,
- wherein the RA-RNTI is determined according to time index information, frequency index information, and system frame number (SFN) information, and
- wherein the time index information indicates a subframe starting the repeated transmission of the PRACH signal, the frequency index information indicates a frequency index of the PRACH signal transmitted in the starting subframe, and the SFN information indicates a radio frame starting the repeated transmission of the PRACH signal.
A user equipment (UE) for transmitting and receiving a signal in a wireless communication system supporting coverage enhancement, the UE comprising:
- a radio frequency (RF) unit;
- and
- a processor operatively connected to the RF unit and configured to:
- control the RF unit to repeatedly transmit a physical random access channel (PRACH) signal, and
- monitor downlink control information masked by a random access radio network temporary identifier (RA-RNTI) corresponding to the PRACH signal,
- wherein the RA-RNTI is determined according to time index information, frequency index information, and system frame number (SFN) information, and
- wherein the time index information indicates a subframe starting the repeated transmission of the PRACH signal, the frequency index information indicates a frequency index of the PRACH signal transmitted in the starting subframe, and the SFN information indicates a radio frame starting the repeated transmission of the PRACH signal.
