Systems and methods for circular convolution

A method for receiving a signal, the method comprising:

• passing the signal through a first decoder;
• passing a copy of a first portion of the signal through a second decoder;
• obtaining a log likelihood ratio (LLR) de-mapping output according to a sum of the outputs of the first and second decoder;
• and
• removing a channel effect from the symbol.

A network component, comprising:

• a transmitter;
• and
• a receiver, wherein the receiver comprises:
• a first decoder operable to decode a first signal;
• a second decoder operable to decode a copy of at least a portion of the first signal;
• and
• an adder component operable to produce a symbol value from which a log likelihood ratio (LLR) output is obtained, the symbol value comprising a sum of a first decoder output and a second decoder output;
• and
• an equalizer component to remove a channel effect from the symbol.
