Abstract
A light-emitting device includes a semiconductor light-emitting element, for example, a light emitting diode. A first metal member includes a first metal plate and a first metal layer between the semiconductor light-emitting element and a first surface of the first metal plate. An insulating layer contacts a second surface of the first metal plate. The second surface is in a second plane that intersects a first plane of the first surface.
Claims10
A semiconductor light-emitting device, comprising:
- a semiconductor light-emitting element;
- a first metal member including a first metal plate and a first metal layer between the semiconductor light-emitting element and a first surface of the first metal plate;
- an insulating layer comprising silicon oxide contacting a second surface of the first metal plate;
- and
- a second metal member including a second metal plate and a second metal layer on at least a portion of a surface of the second metal plate,
- wherein the first metal plate comprises copper, the first metal layer comprises silver, the second surface is in a second plane that crosses a first plane of the first surface, and the surface of the second metal plate is substantially parallel to the first plane,
- wherein
- the first metal layer has a first metal layer side face intersecting the first plane,
- the insulating layer is in contact with the first metal layer side face,
- the second metal plate comprises copper,
- the second metal layer comprises silver,
- the second metal member is adjacent to the first metal member in a direction intersecting the second plane,
- the second metal plate has a second metal plate side face in a plane intersecting the first plane, and
- the insulating layer is in contact with the second metal plate side face.
