Abstract
The present invention relates to preparation and use of water dispersible nanogels and solvent dispersible reactive nanogels as additives to enhance polymer properties or as precursors to polymeric networks.
Claims4
A water dispersible nanogel produced by a process comprising:
- (i) combining a monomer mixture comprising at least one monovinyl monomer, at least one divinyl monomer, a difunctional chain transfer agent, and an initiator;
- and (ii) polymerizing said mixture to form the water dispersible nanogel;
- wherein said at least one monovinyl monomer comprises polyethoxy (10) ethyl methacrylate (E10 HEMA).
