A method of producing 12-ADT, having Formula 6
- the method comprising
- (a) reacting thapsigargin, having Formula 2
- to produce 8-O-debutanoyl-thapsigargin, having Formula 3
- (b) reacting 8-O-debutanoyl-thapsigargin (3) with Boc-12-AD, having Formula 4
- to produce Boc-12ADT, having Formula 5
- and
- (c) deprotecting Boc-12ADT (5) to produce 12-ADT (6).
