A castable refractory material for use in the manufacture of refractory products including fused silica, ceramic fiber, microsilica and a bonding material comprising colloidal silica.

A castable refractory material for use in the manufacture of refractory products, wherein the castable refractory material includes fused silica, ceramic fiber, microsilica and a bonding material comprising colloidal silica, wherein the castable refractory material comprises microsilica in a range of 2-15%, by weight.
