Abstract
The present invention relates to novel infectious bronchitis virus strains and the uses thereof. The invention particularly relates to an inactivated or attenuated IBV, as well as to vaccine compositions comprising the same and the uses thereof to vaccinate avians. The invention also relates to nucleic acids, infected cells and methods for detecting the infectious bronchitis virus strains of the invention in any sample.

An attenuated Infectious Bronchitis Virus (IBV), wherein said IBV (i) comprises a S1 gene having a nucleotide sequence with at least 99% identity to SEQ ID NO:
- 1, or the complementary strand thereof and (ii) confers protective immunity to at least two IBV serotypes selected from GA08, GA13 and DMV.
A nucleic acid comprising SEQ ID NO:
- 1 or a sequence having at least 99% identity to SEQ ID NO:
- 1, or the complementary strand thereof.
A vector comprising SEQ ID NO:
- 1, or a sequence having at least 99% sequence identity to SEQ ID NO:
- 1, under the control of a promoter.
