Stent delivery device

A delivery device comprising:

• a stent device that is operable from a radially reduced delivery configuration to a radially expanded deployment configuration;
• a sheath device mounted coaxially over the stent device, having a longitudinally extending line of weakness;
• and
• a pull member operable to split the sheath device at the line of weakness and withdraw the sheath device from over the stent device,
• wherein the pull member and the line of weakness lie on diametrically opposing sides of the sheath device,
• wherein the line of weakness comprises perforations, and
• wherein the pull member has:
• an inner part inside of the sheath device;
• an outer part outside of the sheath device;
• and
• a wrap-around part between the inner and outer parts,
• wherein the wrap-around part wraps around the sheath device capturing the sheath device between the inner and outer parts.

A delivery device comprising:

• a stent device that is operable from a radially reduced delivery configuration to a radially expanded deployment configuration;
• a sheath device mounted coaxially over the stent device, having a longitudinally extending line of weakness;
• and
• a pull member operable to split the sheath device at the line of weakness and withdraw the sheath device from over the stent device,
• wherein the pull member and the line of weakness lie on opposing sides of the sheath device,
• wherein opposing sides are diametrically opposite one another,
• wherein the pull member has:
• an inner part inside of the sheath device;
• an outer part outside of the sheath device;
• and
• a wrap-around part between the inner and outer parts,
• wherein the wrap-around part wraps around the sheath device capturing the sheath device between the inner and outer parts.
