Abstract
A soft prosthetic implant, such as a silicone breast implant, is provided. The implant has a variety of different surfaces, for example, different textures, located on different areas of the outer surface of the implant.
Claims10
A breast implant comprising:
- an elastomeric shell comprising a first region and a second region, and an outer surface;
- the first region defined by a first textured surface;
- and
- the second region defined by a second textured surface, the second textured surface defined by open pores extending no greater than about one pore deep into the shell outer surface;
- the first textured surface being defined by interconnected pores extending about two to about five pores deep to a depth of between about 0.2 mm to about 5.0 mm into the shell outer surface.
