A self-configuration method implemented in a Long Term Evolution (LTE) evolved NodeB (eNB), the method comprising:
- subsequent to an authentication of the eNB with a core network, receiving, by the eNB, first parameters from the core network, wherein the first parameters are configuration parameters for the eNB;
- transmitting to and receiving from, another eNB via an inter-station interface, authentication information;
- and
- subsequent to an authentication of the eNB and the another eNB using the authentication information, receiving, by the eNB, second parameters via the inter-station interface, wherein the second parameters are about the another eNB.
A Long Term Evolution (LTE) evolved NodeB (eNB) comprising:
- a first interface;
- a second interface;
- and
- a processor communicatively coupled to the first interface and the second interface;
- wherein the processor:
- subsequent to an authentication of the eNB with a core network, receives first parameters from the core network via the first interface, wherein the first parameters are configuration parameters for the eNB;
- transmits to and receives from, another eNB via the second interface, authentication information;
- and
- subsequent to an authentication of the eNB and the another eNB using the authentication information, receives second parameters via the second interface, wherein the second parameters are about the another eNB.
A wireless communication system, the wireless communication system comprising:
- a plurality of Long Term Evolution (LTE) evolved NodeBs (eNBs);
- wherein each of the plurality of eNBs:
- subsequent to an authentication of the eNB with a core network, receives first parameters from the core network, wherein the first parameters are configuration parameters for the eNB;
- transmits to and receives from, another eNB from the plurality of eNBs via an inter-station interface, authentication information;
- and
- subsequent to an authentication of the eNB and the another eNB using the authentication information, receives second parameters via the inter-station interface, wherein the second parameters are about the another eNB.
A method of operating a wireless communication system including a plurality of Long Term Evolution (LTE) evolved NodeBs (eNBs), the method comprising:
- wherein each of the plurality of eNBs:
- subsequent to an authentication of the eNB with a core network, receiving first parameters from the core network, wherein the first parameters are configuration parameters for the eNB;
- transmitting to and receiving from, another eNB from the plurality of eNBs via an inter-station interface, authentication information;
- and
- subsequent to an authentication of the eNB and the another eNB using the authentication information, receiving second parameters via the inter-station interface, wherein the second parameters are about the another eNB.
