Abstract
A flexible display and a method of manufacturing the same are disclosed. In one aspect, the method includes forming a sacrificial layer on a support substrate, wherein the sacrificial layer includes a plurality of patterns continuously formed thereon and a plurality of grooves formed between the patterns. The method also includes forming a display unit on the sacrificial layer, dissolving and removing the sacrificial layer with water and separating the display unit from the support substrate.
Claims15
A method of manufacturing a flexible display, the method comprising:
- forming a sacrificial layer on a support substrate, wherein the sacrificial layer includes a plurality of patterns continuously formed thereon and a plurality of grooves formed between the patterns;
- forming a display unit on the sacrificial layer, wherein the display unit has top and bottom surfaces opposing each other, and wherein the bottom surface faces the sacrificial layer;
- and
- dissolving and removing the sacrificial layer with water so as to simultaneously separate the entirety of the bottom surface of the display unit from the support substrate.
A method of manufacturing a flexible display, the method comprising:
- forming a sacrificial layer on a support substrate, wherein the sacrificial layer includes a plurality of protrusions and a plurality of grooves formed between the protrusions;
- forming a display unit on the sacrificial layer, wherein the display unit has top and bottom surfaces opposing each other, and wherein the bottom surface faces the sacrificial layer;
- and
- dissolving and removing the sacrificial layer with water so as to simultaneously separate the entirety of the bottom surface of the display unit from the support substrate.
