System and methods for upcoming event notification and mobile purchasing

A method comprising:

• receiving, electronically by a hardware processor, a search request comprising one or more event search criteria;
• performing, by the hardware processor, a first search for one or more upcoming events using the one or more event search criteria;
• determining, by the hardware processor, the first search returns no upcoming events;
• in response to the determining, automatically changing, by the hardware processor, the search request by changing at least one of the one or more event search criteria;
• performing, by the hardware processor, a second search for one or more upcoming events based on the changed search request;
• determining, by the hardware processor, an upcoming event from the second search;
• generating, by the hardware processor, a notification comprising a hyperlink enabling the user to make a purchase of the upcoming event through a user device;
• and
• transmitting, by the hardware processor, the notification to the user device.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium comprising executable computer program instructions to enable a computing system to:

• receive a search request comprising one or more event search criteria;
• perform a first search for one or more upcoming events using the one or more event search criteria;
• determine the first search returns no upcoming events;
• in response to the determining, automatically change the search request by changing at least one of the one or more event search criteria;
• perform a second search for one or more upcoming events based on the changed search request;
• determine an upcoming event from the second search;
• generate a notification comprising a hyperlink enabling the user to make a purchase of the upcoming event through a user device;
• and
• transmit the notification to the user device.
