Abstract
Systems and methods for automating a take-out ordering process. In an embodiment, menu data is imported from a restaurant Point-of-Sale (POS) system over at least one network. The menu data may comprise a plurality of menu items. A menu user interface is generated. The menu user interface may comprise one or more menu screens, which comprise a subset of one or more of the plurality of menu items. A selection of at least one menu item from the subset may be received from a user. Up-sell options can be determined and provided to the user. Once completed, an order is sent to the restaurant POS system over the at least one network. The order can comprise the selected menu item(s) and any of the up-sell options selected by the user.
Claims22
A system for automated take-out ordering, the system comprising:
- at least one hardware processor;
- and
- at least one executable software module that, when executed by the at least one hardware processor,
- imports menu data from a restaurant Point-of-Sale (POS) system over at least one network, wherein the menu data comprises a plurality of menu items,
- generates a menu user interface based on the imported menu data, wherein the menu user interface comprises one or more menu screens, and wherein the one or more menu screens comprise a subset of one or more of the plurality of menu items,
- receives a selection of at least one menu item from the subset of menu items from a user,
- determines one or more up-sell options,
- provides the one or more up-sell options to the user, and
- sends an order to the restaurant POS system over the at least one network,
- wherein the order comprises the selected at least one menu item and any of the one or more up-sell options selected by the user and wherein the at least one executable software module receives a selection of the subset of one or more of the plurality of menu items for each of a plurality of order channels, and generates a different menu user interface for each of the plurality of order channels through which orders are received, wherein the plurality of order channels comprise two or more of a call center channel, an online channel, and a mobile device channel.
A method for automated take-out ordering, the method comprising, by at least one hardware processor:
- importing menu data from a restaurant Point-of-Sale (POS) system over at least one network, wherein the menu data comprises a plurality of menu items;
- generating a menu user interface based on the imported menu data, wherein the menu user interface comprises one or more menu screens, and wherein the one or more menu screens comprise a subset of one or more of the plurality of menu items;
- receiving a selection of the subset of one or more of the plurality of menu items for each of a plurality of order channels, and generating a different menu user interface for each of the plurality of order channels through which orders are received, wherein the plurality of order channels comprise two or more of a call center channel, an online channel, and a mobile device channel;
- receiving a selection of at least one menu item from the subset of menu items from a user;
- determining one or more up-sell options;
- providing the one or more up-sell options to the user;
- and
- sending an order to the restaurant POS system over the at least one network, wherein the order comprises the selected at least one menu item and any of the one or more up-sell options selected by the user.
