Methods and systems for managing N-streams of recommendations

A system comprising:

• a generation module comprising a hardware processor and configured to generate a first set of recommendations from a plurality of input streams, each input stream of the plurality of input streams corresponding to a selection algorithm, and a second set of recommendations;
• a receiver module configured to receive, from a user interface, one or more selections of recommendations from the first set of recommendations;
• a selection module configured to select a set of input streams corresponding to the one or more selections of recommendations from the plurality of input streams, the set of input streams being a subset of the plurality of input streams and corresponding to a subset of selection algorithms, the second set of recommendations being based on the set of input streams, and the second set of recommendations excluding at least a portion of the first set of recommendations generated using input streams excluded from the set of input streams;
• and
• a presentation module configured to cause presentation of the first set of recommendations and the second set of recommendations on the user interface.

A non-transitory machine-readable storage medium comprising processor executable instructions that, when executed by a processor of a machine, cause the machine to perform operations comprising:

• generating a first set of recommendations from a plurality of input streams, each input stream of the plurality of input streams corresponding to a selection algorithm;
• causing presentation of the first set of recommendations on a user interface of a user device;
• receiving one or more selections of recommendations from the first set of recommendations;
• determining a session intent based on the one or more selections of recommendations from the first set of recommendations;
• selecting a set of input streams, from the plurality of input streams, corresponding to the one or more selected recommendations and the session intent, the set of input streams being a subset of the plurality of input streams and corresponding to a subset of selection algorithms;
• generating a second set of recommendations using the set of input streams based on the selections of recommendations, the second set of recommendations excluding at least a portion of the first set of recommendations generated using input streams excluded from the set of input streams;
• and
• causing presentation of the second set of recommendations on the user interface of the user device.
