Abstract
An electrophotographic photosensitive member includes a support, an undercoat layer which contains a metal oxide particle and is formed on the support, a charge generating layer formed on the undercoat layer, and a charge transporting layer formed on the charge generating layer. Either or both of the undercoat layer and the charge generating layer contain a compound represented by formula (1).
Claims11
An electrophotographic photosensitive member comprising:
- a support;
- an undercoat layer which comprises a metal oxide particle and is formed on the support;
- a charge generating layer formed on the undercoat layer;
- and
- a charge transporting layer formed on the charge generating layer,
- wherein either or both of the undercoat layer and the charge generating layer comprise a compound represented by the following formula (1),
- wherein R1 to R8 each independently represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, a hydroxy group, an amino group, or a carboxyl group.
A method for producing an electrophotographic photosensitive member including an undercoat layer which comprises a metal oxide particle and is formed on a support, a charge generating layer formed on the undercoat layer, and a charge transporting layer formed on the charge generating layer, the method comprising:
- forming a coat of an undercoat layer coating solution containing the metal oxide particle and a compound represented by the following formula (1) on a support;
- and
- drying the coat by heating to form an undercoat layer,
- wherein R1 to R8 each independently represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, a hydroxy group, an amino group, or a carboxyl group.
A method for producing an electrophotographic photosensitive member including an undercoat layer which comprises a metal oxide particle and is formed on a support, a charge generating layer formed on the undercoat layer, and a charge transporting layer formed on the charge generating layer, the method comprising:
- forming a coat of a charge generating layer coating solution containing a charge generating substance and a compound represented by the following formula (1) on an undercoat layer;
- and
- drying the coat by heating to form a charge generating layer,
- wherein R1 to R8 each independently represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, a hydroxy group, an amino group, or a carboxyl group.
A process cartridge detachably attachable to a main body of an electrophotographic apparatus, wherein the process cartridge integrally supports:
- an electrophotographic photosensitive member, and
- at least one device selected from the group consisting of a charging device, a developing device, a transferring device, and a cleaning device,
- wherein the electrophotographic photosensitive member comprises:
- a support;
- an undercoat layer which comprises a metal oxide particle and is formed on the support;
- a charge generating layer formed on the undercoat layer;
- and
- a charge transporting layer formed on the charge generating layer,
- wherein either or both of the undercoat layer and the charge generating layer comprise a compound represented by the following formula (1),
- wherein R1 to R8 each independently represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, a hydroxy group, an amino group, or a carboxyl group.
An electrophotographic apparatus comprising:
- an electrophotographic photosensitive member;
- a charging device;
- an exposure device;
- a developing device;
- and
- a transferring device, and
- wherein the electrophotographic photosensitive member comprises:
- a support;
- an undercoat layer which comprises a metal oxide particle and is formed on the support;
- a charge generating layer formed on the undercoat layer;
- and
- a charge transporting layer formed on the charge generating layer,
- wherein either or both of the undercoat layer and the charge generating layer comprise a compound represented by the following formula (1),
- wherein R1 to R8 each independently represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, a hydroxy group, an amino group, or a carboxyl group.
