Abstract
Additives comprising a low surface energy group and one or more hydroxyl groups are described.
Claims19
A copolymer additive comprising units represented by the general formula:
- -[ML]l-[MOH]q-[MA]p-[MR4]o-
- wherein l, q, p, and o are each at least 1;
- and
- [ML] represent units derived from one or more ethylenically unsaturated monomers comprising a group selected from organopolysiloxane, perfluoroalkyl, and perfluoropolyether;
- [MOH] represent units derived from one or more ethylenically unsaturated monomers and at least one hydroxyl group;
- [MA] represent units derived from [MOH] wherein a portion of the hydroxyl groups are converted to free-radically polymerizable groups;
- and
- [MR4] represent units derived from one or more ethylenically unsaturated monomers comprising an alkyl group.
